Control & Automation Engineer

Are you a talented Control & Automation Engineer ready for your next challenge? Want to join the world of green energy and make a difference? We’re looking for a dedicated professional to develop a control strategy for our energy plants. You’ll play a pivotal role in our Automation Division, which oversees the purchasing and quality checks of control panels. Plus, you’ll support your fellow Vynckeneers during commissioning, and prepare budgets for Sales and Customer Service.

about the job

As our Control & Automation Engineer, you will:

  • Be responsible for the automation of our VYNCKE projects. You’ll design the process and regulation of our energy plants together with the Design Engineer and the Project Manager, and define the technical specification and instrumentation of the projects.
  • Work together with our team of Electrical Designers and PLC Programmers to plan the electrical drawings and PLC programs.
  • Manage automation-related supplier quotations, purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Be the point of contact for the customer and the Project Team for all topics related to automation, attending meetings and visiting the site during various stages of the project. You’ll also assist your colleagues on-site remotely during commissioning of the project.
  • Assist with creating automation-related project documentation, such as P&ID, functional descriptions and HMI manuals.

About you

We imagine our ideal candidate would:

  • Hold a master’s degree in electrotechnics or electromechanics, option automation and electrical engineering.
  • Have at least 5 years experience in control & automation, or a similar field.
  • Have a basic knowledge of electrical design (EPLAN) and PLC (Siemens S7, TIA Portal and/or Rockwell), as well as SCADA programs (WinCC, InTouch).
  • Keep up to date on the latest trends surrounding automation.
  • Be willing to travel for short periods of time.
  • Be fluent in English, with local or other languages as a plus.
