Customer Service Control & Automation Engineer

We’re on the lookout for a Customer Service Control & Automation Engineer to join our team and help us deliver high quality services to our customers. In this role, you’ll be tasked with analyzing the customers’ cases, followed by engineering and implementing the most suitable solutions. You’ll support the Customer Service team by adapting, upgrading, and renewing our existing VYNCKE systems.

about the job

As our Customer Service Control & Automation Engineer, you will:

  • Support the Customer Service team in meetings with clients and subcontractors.
  • Analyze the customers’ cases and process their demands. You’ll prepare input documents, control concept, P&ID, electrical drawings…
  • Perform risk assessment on the design of an installation.
  • Oversee the electrical installation and have hands-on experience in planning, coordinating, and executing complex technical installations.
  • Execute the commissioning.
  • Propose optimizations to improve our future installations.
  • Be the single point of contact between the Customer Service team and the Automatization team.

About you

We imagine our ideal candidate would:

  • Have a master’s degree in electrotechnics or electromechanics, or equivalent experience. You have at least 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Have experience in electrical engineering and PLC programming, as well as extensive experience in addressing customer concerns, ranging from routine inquiries to complex escalations.
  • Have good technical insight. In this role, being a real problem-solver is key!
  • Possess the communication skills necessary to translate the customer’s needs and demands into clear tasks.
  • Be willing to travel. You will be based in Harelbeke but spend about 30% of your time abroad.
  • Be fluent in English, with proficiency in other European languages as a plus.
