We are on the hunt for a dedicated IoT Application Engineer to manage our SMARTPLANT application! This app is designed to monitor our waste-to-energy solutions, providing the customer with relevant insights in the operational state of the installation. In this role, you’ll work closely with diverse teams to integrate various applications, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance. Joining our global Technology Team, you will be at the forefront of innovation, transforming the world of sustainable energy solutions!

about the job

As our IoT Application Engineer, you will:

Design and implement IoT applications, from concept to deployment.
Collaborate with our engineers and external parties to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their specific needs.
Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing optimizations as needed.
Provide customers and Vynckeneers with the training, technical support, and documentation they need to use our solutions effectively.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Work closely within a specialized team dedicated to enhancing the SMARTPLANT app, ensuring our solutions are efficient, reliable, and meet customer satisfaction.

About you

We imagine our ideal candidate would:

Hold a master’s degree in computer science, (electrical) engineering, or a related field.
Have experience in IoT engineering or a similar role.
Be well-versed and hands-on in IoT, cybersecurity protocols, and automation technologies in an industrial context (Edge computing, Linux, Docker containers, MQTT, Python, OPC UA, DCS/PLC…)
Be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients.
Work in a structured and project-oriented way to ensure efficient project delivery.
Have strong problem-solving skills and a passion for challenges that involve analytical thinking and creativity.
