IoT Service Development Engineer

We are on the lookout for an IoT Service Development Engineer to play a key role in our strategy to offer our Customers an IoT-platform that enhances performance, efficiency and safety.

In this role, you’ll focus on the collaboration with clients to identify, define, and implement use cases for these IoT-based services. You’ll also collaborate with the IoT Development Team for continuous improvement of our IoT applications. The insights we gain via these use cases help us improve our services and will directly impact the success of our clients’ power plants. Joining our global Technology Team, you will be at the forefront of innovation, transforming the world of sustainable energy solutions!

about the job

As our IoT Service Development Engineer, you will:

Collaborate with our Customers to understand their challenges and identify how data-driven services can bring value to their operations and to VYNCKE.
Translate the Customer’s needs into a service offer. After a successful pilot phase with our Customer Services Team, you will formalize the internal industrialization process and the service package offer.
Give feedback to the IoT Development Team to continuously improve our IoT Applications.
Train and support our Sales Team, Customers Service Managers and Customers on our IoT ecosystem from a business perspective.
Join the global Technology team (15 colleagues), which contributes to the continuous improvement of our SMARTPLANT applications.

About you

We imagine our ideal candidate would:

Hold a master’s degree in engineering or ICT, with 5 years of experience in a customer-oriented role (e.g. industrial software).
Have strong expertise in IoT, data analysis or similar fields, with a knack for converting data into actionable insights.
Have a cooperative and customer-oriented mindset, capable of understanding and addressing Customer challenges, as well as an analytical mindset to define new use cases with the Customer.
Have a hands-on, creative and pro-active approach, taking ownership and tackling hurdles with common sense, in a structured way.
Stay updated on IoT topics.
Be fluent in English and like to work in an international work environment.
