Logistics Specialist

We’re looking for a hands-on and process-driven Freelance Logistics Specialist to lead and elevate our logistics discipline. In this freelance role, you will shape the future of logistics at VYNCKE, ensuring timely, complete, and cost-effective delivery of components from suppliers to customer sites worldwide. Your work will directly support our global project execution and customer service.

You’ll report to the Global Procurement Manager and work closely with project teams, field colleagues, and warehouse operations.

about the job

As our Freelance Logistics Specialist, you will:

Start by diving into the operational side of logistics by working closely with project teams. This hands-on phase will give you insights in our current flows and challenges, while building strong relationships with colleagues.

As the role evolves, you will:

Define tailored logistics plans per project and improve logistics-related contractual clauses.
Set up and manage frame agreements with forwarders and packing companies, ensuring transport and packaging meet quality standards and customer requirements
Develop tools, training, and coaching to embed a logistics mindset early in each project.
Establish best practices for packing, tagging, and lashing of goods across various project types and region.
Collaborate with Finance to avoid administrative delays due to customs or country-specific regulations.

About you

We imagine our ideal candidate would:

Be available for a longterm assignment of minimum 2 years, extendable with 1 year. You have a residency in Belgium, willing to travel (max. 20% of your time)
Have at least 10 years of experience in international logistics, preferably in a project-driven environment. You have a solid understanding of customs and international compliance requirements.
Be process-oriented and enjoy bringing change to organizations. You know how to handle pushback in a respectful and patient manner.
Be proactive, structured and a strong communicator.
Be a team player with a hands-on mentality.
