Project Buyer

As our Project Buyer, you are a key member of various project teams, involved during the complete project phase from sales to commissioning. You ensure that all project-related purchases are prepared and executed under optimal conditions, combining the technical specifications with the best commercial terms. Working closely with the project team, you negotiate prices and conditions, manage supplier relationships, and contribute directly to the gross margin of our projects. You will report to the Unit Manager.

about the job

As Project Buyer, you will:

Collaborate with the project team to select the most suitable products and suppliers, based on technical requirements and customer expectations.
Drive the purchasing process: define priorities, shortlist suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure timely deliveries.
Take ownership of price and contract negotiations, including terms related to liability and delivery penalties.
Support sales by providing up-to-date pricing and supplier insights.
Develop and maintain a strong supplier network to support our global project portfolio, together with Project Buyers from other departments.
Manage purchase orders and follow-up with suppliers on behalf of the project team.
Maintain supplier evaluations and improve negotiation leverage through follow-up.

About you

We imagine our ideal candidate would:

Hold a master’s degree in a technical or economics-related field.
Have 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing technical goods, components, or services in an international environment.
Be commercially skilled, assertive, and detail-oriented.
Communicate clearly and negotiate confidently with suppliers.
Be fluent in English, with a good knowledge of French.
