Project Buyer

The Project Buyer is a key member of the different project teams, focusing on procurement throughout the whole project phase (from presales to commissioning). They assure that all project related purchases are prepared and executed in the most optimal conditions: the requested technology for the best possible price. As such, you’ll be contributing to the overall gross margin target of the projects.

The project buyer works closely together with the Project Managers (PM’s) and reports to the Business Unit Manager.

As Project Buyer you will

Be involved in various core business processes: presales, sales, project management and customer service.
Develop and maintain a supplier’s network, relevant for our global projects.
Master the purchasing process from start to finish: define priorities, suppliers, negotiate prices and conditions, all the way to commissioning.
Be responsible for the quality of Purchase Order documents with the assistance of the Project Engineer.

About you

We imagine our ideal candidate would

Have a master’s degree in a relevant engineering or economics domain.
Have a relevant experience of minimum 5 years in purchasing technical goods, components and/or services in relevant B2B industries.
Have experience in building and maintaining relationships at an international level is a strong asset.
Have outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
Be fluent in English – any other European knowledge is a plus, Spanish/Catalan is a strong asset.
