Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You’ll be in charge of maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and supporting the month-end and year-end closings. Your work ensures accuracy, transparency and reliability in our financial reporting. You’ll report to our Accounting Manager and will be part of our global accounting team.

about the job

As our Senior Accountant, you will:

Manage and reconcile GL accounts.
Be responsible for the monthly and year-end closing process for VYNCKE NV.
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including VAT and Intrastat returns, financial statements, and corporate tax filings.
Prepare for external audits and assist the Accounting Manager throughout the process.
Ensure compliance in line with accounting principles and regulations.
Prepare financial statements and reports, and provide analyses regarding our financial situation for relevant stakeholders.

About you

We imagine our ideal candidate would:

Hold a master’s degree in economics or accountancy & finance.
Have at least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an industrial and international setting.
Have solid knowledge of VAT and tax regulations.
Be a strong communicator who enjoys taking initiative and supporting improvement projects.
Have a sharp eye for detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Have good knowledge of Dutch and English.
